Kathy Roddie

Kathy Roddie has been a dynamic volunteer and resident of East English Village for over sixteen years. Drawn to the beauty and friendly atmosphere of her neighborhood, Kathy strives tirelessly to improve the quality of life for residents and ensure our community continues to be a wonderful and safe place to call home. She currently serves on the East English Village Neighborhood Association Board of Directors, where she is the Neighborhood Residential Chair and a Block Captain.

Kathy’s desire to be a blessing to others extends also to her work at the nearby Bethany Christian Church, where she volunteers several times throughout the year by cooking and serving meals for community events. At her home church, Second Ebenezer, she works as the Administrative Assistant on the senior ministry

called Experience People in Christ’s Service (EPICS), a program to engage and support people aged 55 and above in church life through learning, social, recreational, service, and spiritual development opportunities. In this role, she represents the ministry at leadership meetings and special events, serves as the point of contact for information and benevolence outreach, and promotes and coordinates programs and services.

Kathy looks forward to her role on the MECCA Board. By forming our own community development corporation, she believes residents across our three neighborhoods will be called to work in greater cooperation and coordination together. In partnership, Kathy hopes as a community we will have a larger voice in civic matters, stronger effort to maintain and improve our community assets, and greater connectedness to each other’s success.

In her leisure time, Kathy enjoys bowling and traveling for fun with her friends and family.
